Mounting Option B

1. Use a 16 mm (5/8 in.) size drill bit and drill the four
17.5 mm (11/16 in.) mounting holes. Remove any
remaining debris from the truck's frame rail. See
Figure 2-8.

2. Align the mounting plates to indicated mounting
hole(s) scribed on the truck's frame rail.
3. Use a sufficient 3-point lifting device to lift and align
the back side of the APU to the front of the truck's
frame rail. See Figure 2-4.
4. Slide one 16 mm (5/8 in.) washer over the end of
one 70 mm (2.75 in.) hex head bolt. Repeat for the
remaining hex head bolts.
5. Place the mounting plate flush to the front side of
the truck's frame rail.
6. Slide the 70 mm (2.75 in.) hex head bolt from the
inside of the generator housing, through the
mounting plate, and the 16 mm (5/8 in.) pre drilled
mounting hole, located on the truck's frame rail.
7. Slide one 16 mm (5/8 in.) washer over the end of
one 70 mm (2.75 in.) hex head bolt.
8. Loosely attach one 16 mm (5/8 in.) stop nut to the
the end of one 70 mm (2.75 in.) hex head bolt.
Hand tighten the stop nut.
9. Slide another 70 mm (2.75 in.) hex head bolt from
the inside of the generator housing, through the
mounting plate, and the 16 mm (5/8 in.) pre drilled
mounting hole, located on the truck's frame rail.

10. Place the remaining mounting plate flush to the
front side of the truck's frame rail.
11. Continue attaching the remaining bolts, washers
and stop nuts using the appropriate mounting
option listed above.
12. Ensure all mounting plates are flush against the
truck's frame rail.
13. Ensure all bolts are hand tightened equally and the
spacing is correct.
14. Tighten and torque the 16 mm (5/8 in.) stop nuts to
259 Nm (191 ft. lb.).

Mounting Option C

1. Use a 16 mm (5/8 in.) size drill bit and drill the four
17.5 mm (11/16 in.) mounting holes. Remove any
remaining debris from the truck's frame rail. See
Figure 2-8.
2. Use a sufficient 3-point lifting device to lift and align
the back side of the APU to the front of the truck's
frame rail. See Figure 2-4.
3. Slide one 16 mm (5/8 in.) washer over the end of
one 70 mm (2.75 in.) hex head bolt. Repeat for the
remaining hex head bolts.
4. Slide one 70 mm (2.75 in.) hex head bolt from the
inside of the generator housing, and the 16 mm
(5/8 in.) pre drilled mounting hole, located on the
truck's frame rail.
5. Slide one 16 mm (5/8 in.) washer over the end of
one 70 mm (2.75 in.) hex head bolt.
6. Loosely attach one 16 mm (5/8 in.) stop nut to the
the end of one 70 mm (2.75 in.) hex head bolt.
Hand tighten the stop nut.
7. Continue attaching the remaining bolts, washers
and stop nuts using the appropriate mounting
option listed above.
8. Ensure all bolts are hand tightened equally and the
spacing is correct.
9. Tighten and torque the 16 mm (5/8 in.) stop nuts to
259 Nm (191 ft. lb.).
