Location Considerations
Mounting location considerations. Figure 5-2 shows
an ideal location for the power distribution box on the
floor, under the sleeper bunk.

Before making final plans for locating the power
distribution box, consider the following items for the
proposed location:

Select an area in the sleeper cab that is easy to
access.

Avoid kinking or bending the wiring harness at a 90_
angle when routing through materials. A minimum of
4 cm (1 1/2 in.) bending radius is recommended. See
Figure 5-3.

Allow at least 25 mm (1.0 in.) of clearance between

obstruction.

5.2.2
Install the Power Distribution Box
1. Place the power distribution box in a suitable
location, such as the floor in the sleeper cab, away
from obstructions. See Figure 5-2.
2. Measure and scribe a mark where each of the four
mounting holes will be drilled. See Figure 5-4.

3. Use a 6.60 mm (1/4 in.) dia. drill bit and drill the four
mounting holes to mount the power distribution
box. See Figure 5-5.
