5. Place a hose clamp over the 6.4 mm (1/4 in.) dia.
fuel return hose.
6. Slide the 6.4 mm (1/4 in.) dia. fuel return hose over
the fuel return line.
7. Tighten both hose clamps securely.
8. Place the other end of each hose near the APU's
fuel inlet and fuel return outlets to determine the
approximate
length

Note: Fuel hoses should have enough slack to allow for
limited movement as the vehicle travels. DO
NOT pull the fuel hoses tight. Keep each fuel
hose length as short as possible but maintain
adequate clearance from the exhaust system,
frame rail, and fairings.
9. Cut each fuel hose to the determined length.

10. Place a hose clamp over the 8 mm (5/16 in.) dia.
fuel supply hose.
11. Slide the 8 mm (5/16 in.) dia. fuel supply hose over
the FUEL INLET connection and tighten hose
clamps securely. See Figure 3-11.

Note: When applying the hose guard, leave the end of
the fuel hose exposed so the hose clamp can fit
snug onto the fuel hose.
12. Place a hose clamp over the 6.4 mm (1/4 in.) dia.
fuel return hose.
13. Slide the 6.4 mm (1/4 in.) dia. fuel return hose over
the FUEL RETURN OUTLET connection and
tighten hose clamps securely.
14. If necessary, secure fuel hoses with heavy-duty,
nonreleasable cable ties to prevent entanglement.
