Problem
The induction hob
or a cooking zone
has switched off
unexpectedly, a tone
sounds and an error
code is displayed.
The induction hob emits
a low hum when a high
heat setting is selected.
The pans do not get
hot and appear on the
display.
Fan noise from the
induction hob.
Potential cause
Technical error.
This is due to the
technology of induction
cooking.
The induction hob
cannot recognise the
pan because it is not
suitable for induction
cooking.
The induction hob
cannot detect the pan
because it is too small
for the cooking zone or
is not properly centred
on the cooking zone.
A cooling fan built into
your induction hob has
switched on to protect
the electronics from
overheating. It also
continues to run briefly
after you have switched
off the induction hob.
Solution
Make a note of the error
code and switch off the
induction hob. Check the
error code in the ERROR
MESSAGES chapter.
This is normal, but the
noise should decrease or
disappear as you lower
the heat setting.
Use cookware suitable
for induction cooking.
Place the pan in the
centre, making sure its
diameter matches the
size of the cooking zone.
This is normal and
requires no action. Do
not turn off the power to
the induction hob while
the fan is running.
