The deployment and retraction of the step assembly can cause injury if proper precautions are not taken.
- Page 4 From the stowed position (Fig. 1), disengage the transport lock (Fig. 1A) by pulling the transport lock knob to the right. Firmly grasp and pull out the vertically stored SolidStep 4.0 and rest it firmly on the ground. Adjust leg extensions as needed.
- Page 5 Retract leg extensions. See Leg Extension Adjustment section. Lift up SolidStep 4.0 to its stored position (Fig. 1) until the transport locks engage and click into place. Make sure the latches (Figs. 6A and 7A) are resting against the door frame.
- Page 6 Attempting to engage the transport lock without proper adjustment may cause damage to the door frame or step assembly. To verify the transport lock adjustment is working properly, the SolidStep 4.0 should be in the stored position (Fig. 5). Make sure transport latch flanges (Figs. 5A, 6A, and 7A) are resting against the door frame.
