Before first use

1. Remove the protective foil from the visor.
2. Check that the facepiece is leak-tight before using it for the first time (see
technical manual 9300767 at www.draeger.com/ifu).
4.3

Before each use

The mask bodies are available in sizes S, M, L, inner masks in sizes 1, 2, 3 and
head harnesses in sizes M/L and S. In most cases, the standard size M2 is
used. If this size cannot ensure sufficient leak tightness, another size
combination must be used.
WARNING
► Each mask wearer must be provided with a mask of suitable size.
Prior to use, always make sure that the mask is leaktight. The sealing
surface between head and mask body must be free of hair and foreign
objects as these could cause leakages. Spectacle wearers should wear
mask spectacles.
1. Mask/helmet combination: Adjust the full face mask fastener and the
internal helmet components.
2. If required, mount the mask spectacles.
3. Soak the wiper with "klar-pilot" comfort anti-fog agent. Apply the anti-fog
agent to the inside of the visor and wipe with a lint-free cloth until visibility
through the visor is good.
Do not operate the wiper in dry condition.
4. If the mask is equipped with a drinking valve, make sure that the protective
cap is on the drinking valve. Alternatively, the drinking tube can be fitted
onto the drinking valve.
If the drinking valve will not be used during the entire mission, the
mouthpiece should be removed. This will increase the wearing comfort of
the mask.
5. Full face mask: Loosen the head harness as far as possible.
6. Place the neck strap around your neck and fasten it in the standby position
(see figure B on fold-out page).

mask body (see figure C on fold-out page).

straps, finally the front strap (see figure D on fold-out page).
4.4.2
Mask/helmet combination
1. Prepare the helmet for use.
2. Put on the helmet, leaving the chin strap open.
3. Take hold of both mask/helmet adapters, then place the upper edge of the
mask body against your forehead.
4. Put your chin in the chin cup of the mask.
5. Pull both mask/helmet adapters simultaneously backwards and clip them
into the helmet adapter pockets.
6. Position the full face mask. The entire face seal must lie flush against the

mask/helmet adapters must be pulled tight, otherwise adjust the position of
the fastening plates at the helmet.
● Put on the closed-circuit breathing apparatus and connect the Dräger
FPS 7000 RP to the closed-circuit breathing apparatus:
Lock the plug-in coupling into the front port.
● If a telephone device is used:
The position of the receiver must match the position of the ear. Use a
connector or prick pincers to connect the telephone device to the telephone
line and check whether the telephone device works.
