Dismantling the slide-in unit
Installation and operating instructions • Wilo-Atmos GIGA-NHT • Ed.01/2023-10
Maintenance and repair work require the pump be partially or completely dismantled. The
pump housing can be installed in the piping.
•
Switch off the energy supply to the pump and secure against accidental switch-on.
•
Close all valves in the suction and discharge pipe.
•
Drain the pump by opening the drainage screw and the venting screw.
•
Remove coupling guard.
•
If present: Remove the intermediate sleeve of the coupling.
•
Remove the fastening screws of the motor from the baseplate.
NOTICE
Observe the section drawing in the section "Spare parts".

Mark positions of the parts that belong together with a coloured pen or scriber.

Secure the slide-in unit against tipping!

Unscrew support foot 8.1 from the baseplate. Store fastening screws.

Unscrew hexagon nuts 10.3 from studs 10.4 and remove them together with washers

Avoid damage to internal parts! Carefully pull the slide-in unit straight off the spiral
housing 1.1.

Remove the housing seal 1.2.
7.
Put the slide-in unit down at a safe workplace. To continue dismantling, fix the slide-in
unit vertically in position. The kit must be removed in the vertical position to avoid
damage to the impellers, neck rings and other parts.

Loosen impeller nut 2.2 and remove it together with spring lock washer 2.3 and washer

Pull off impeller 2.1.
10. Remove shim 2.5.
11. Remove key 3.2.
