MAINTAINING THE SAW CHAIN AND THE GUIDE BAR
SAW CHAIN
WARNING
For many reasons of safety and proper operation of the unit, it is extremely
important that the teeth are constantly sharpened.
IMPORTANTE
The teeth need to be sharpened:
- When the sawdust has the appearance of dust.
- When you need extra force to saw.
- When the cutting path is not straight.
- When the vibration increases.
- When you increase the fuel consumption of the unit.
Standards for the adjustment of the teeth:
WARNING
Be sure to use gloves for this job.
Before filing:

Check that the chain is properly secured.

Make sure the engine is off.

Use a round file of proper size by the size of the chain.
Locate the file in the tooth grinding and push straight forward. Keep the file in the position shown in
the illustration.
