TIPS

1. Do not place projector in too warm or too cold room, because the high temperature or low temperature will shorten lifespan of the device. The working environment would be 5^oC~35^oC better.
2. If there are black spots on the projection screen, please don't worry, please contact aftersales@yabertech.com via email, we can send you a video about how to remove the dust.
3. The ventilation is equipped for the projector to work stably. Don't cover the vent with cloth, blanket or other things. Don't insert anything into the slit of the projector, or it may produce a short circuit or an electric shock to your device and cause damage.
4. The projector shall be strictly protected from strong impact, extrusion and vibration. Do not try to move and on strong impact, extrusion and vibration. Do not try to move and the internal circuit faults.
5. Lens, as the core component of the projector, is directly related to the picture definition and effect. The excessive dust thereon will affect image quality. The dirty lens shall be wiped with soft cotton cloth for the glass lens surface. Hard cloth or abrasives shall not be used.

PROJECTOR REMOTE

Note:

1. Install 2 pieces of AAA batteries into the remote before using it. Do not combine new batteries with old ones in remote controller, which can cause operation failure due to insufficient power supply.
2. When using the remote controller, please make sure that the signal transmitter of the remote controller aims at infrared signal receiver of the projector.
3. lf you are not using the remote controller for an extended period, please take out batteries to prevent batteries leakage.

INSTALLATION

Installation Method

The projector can be hanged on the ceiling with special hanger frame, and placed on the stable desk to project the image according to the operating environment and requirements. In addition, the projector can be installed with following methods:

1. Front projection Ceiling mount
   
2. Rear projection Ceiling mount
   
3. Front projection Table mount
   
4. Rear projection Table mount
   

Keep the projector at a height where its lens is axial symmetry to the screen. If this is not possible, use the keystone correction function to adjust the projection image.

Projector Distance And Size

Please follow the data in chart below, to adjust the image size and the distance,
(Aspect Ratio: 16:9, Default)

The image size depends on the distance between projector and screen, there may be 3% deviation among above listed data Different settings cause various distances.

Install On The Ceiling

1. Please purchase an Universal Projector Ceiling Mount Kit and four M4 x 10 screws.
   
2. Use the M4 * 10mm screws to hang the projector on the stand.
   

STARTING PROJECTOR

Turn on the projector

1. Install two AAA batteries in the remote control before using.
2. Plug in the power cord, and the power light tums red.
3. Press the Power key on the remote or panel, the indicator light will turn green.
4. Remove the lens cover of the projector, the lamp will start working 2 seconds later, when an image is projected on the screen the machine is working smoothly. If the first projection screen is not the start up screen, press the "S" button on the remote and select USB source.
5. Adjust the keystone ring to get a rectangle shape,
6. Adjust the focus ring or rotate the lens of the projector to get the best image performance. (If it is still blurry please try to adjust the projection distance.)
7. If you connect other devices, be sure to select the corresponding source. If you do not select the correct source, the projector will not be able to detect the signal.
8. Press the Menu button on the remote control to enter the OSD Language to set your preferred language.

Turn off the projector

1. Press the Power button When the projector is in use, this Will cause it to switch to standby mode.
2. When the projector switch into standby mode, the light will turn green from red.

IMAGE ADJUSTMENT

When using the projector for the first time, it normally displays an unclear image. This is due to the lens being out of focus or incorrect trapezoid setting. Please follow the below steps to correct:

Keystone Correction

If the projected image is in a trapezoidal shape, please adjust the keystone ring to get a rectangle shape.

( Note: lf can not adjust the trapezoidal well, please place projector on a fiat surface horizontally.) The projected image may be blurry or difficult to see, this is due to lack of focus adjustment with the lens, please follow the processes below to adjust the focus.

Focus Adjustment

1. Rotate the focus ring slow y. At the same time, check the resolution point carefully. The best focus point for the lens would be where the image most clear.
   
2. Or you could rotate the lens of the projector slowly
   
   
   Note: If it is still blurry, please try to adjust the projection distance.

Adjust the Tilt Base

Adjust the height of the image by rotating the height screw on the bottom of the projector,

Note: The larger the tilt angle, the more difficult the focus is, so the smaller the tilt angle, the better.

SETTING UP THE PROJECTOR

The projector's normal start up screen is as follows. If the first projection screen is not this one, press the "S^" button on the remote control to select USB source.

Select the Input Source

When the "No Signal" prompt appears, you need to select the input source:

1. Press the "S" button on the remote control to select the desired signal, then press the OK button on the remote control.
2. Once the signal is detected, the selected source information will be displayed on the screen after a few seconds.
   

Menu Setting Method

1. Press the "M" on the remote, then the menu picture will display on screen.
2. Press "" key, the menu will move to "PICTURE">"SOUND">"TIME">"OPTION".
3. Select the adjust interface, use " " key to choose the wanted item.
4. Press "OK" or " " to adjust the item parameter.

Wireless Projection Method

Warming Tips:

1. The fluency of screen mirroring with wireless connection Will be affected by the network environment. A bandwidth of 100Mbit or more is recommended when using screen mirroring.
2. Make sure your mobile device is close to the projector when using wireless connection. A distance within 1 meter is recommended.
3. Some mobile devices may not support screen mirroring due to the compatibility.

At first, turn on the the projector, press the "source" bottom on the remote, then it will shows Input Source" option on the projection image. Choose the When the mirror interface same as the right Side of above figure appears, then press "OK" button, you will get this menu:

For iOS Users

Method 1: Home Network Connection Mode

Step 1
Press the OK button to enter the WIFI list - Select your home WIFI from the list Connect the U5 projector to your home WIFI

Step 2
Select the [Settings] menu on your IOS device - Turn on the [WIFI] function - Connect your IOS device to the same home network as the projector.

Step 3
Open Control Center- Tap the Screen Mirroring button-Connect [RKcast-xxxxxx]

1. Open control center.
2. Tap on Screen Mirroring-Select the Device name [RKcast-xxxxxx]
   

Method 2: Cellular Network Connection Mode (From your mobile phone card)

Step 1
On your iOS device, tap [Settings] -[Wi-Fi] -Turn [Wi-Fi] ON. Available networks are shown.

Choose the WiFi name like [RKcast-xxxxxx], Connect it and enter the password [12345678] which is on the Projector's menu.

Note: After connecting, if "No Internet Connection" is displayed, please ignore it because it will not affect the use.

Step 2
Open Control Center- Tap the Screen Mirroring button-Connect [RKcast-xxxxxx]

1. Open control center.
2. Tap on Screen Mirroring-Select the Device name [RKcast-xxxxxx]
   

For Android Users

Method 1: Home Network Connection Mode

Step 1
On your Android device, tap [Settings] -[WLAN Display] -Turn [Wi-Fi] ON, Available networks are shown.

Note: different brands of Android phones have different operations for select WI-AN Display, please refer to your phone's manual.

Step 2
Choose your home WiFi name (Ex. YABER), Connect it and enter your password [XXXXXXXX].

Step 3
Tap [Settings] -[Device connectivity] -Turn [Wireless projection] ON

Method 2: Cellular Network Connection Mode (From your mobile phone card)

Step 1
On your Android device, tap [Settings] -[WLAN Display] -Turn [Wi-Fi] ON
Available networks are shown.

Note: different brands of Android phones have different operations for select WLAN Display, please refer to the phone's manual.

Step 2
Choose the WiFi name like [RKcast-xxxxxx], Connect it and enter the password [12345678] which is on the Projector's menu.

Step 3
Tap [Settings] - [Device connectivity] -Turn [Wireless projection] ON - Select the projector name like [RKcast-xxxxxx]

Wired Connection

For IOS

1. Turn on the projector — Press the "S" button on the remote — "Input Source" — Select "Mirror"— Appear mirror interface — Press the "OK" button.
   
2. PIug the original cable of your IOS equipment to the 5V OUT Port.
3. Show with "Do you trust this equipment?" tap "Trust".

For Android

1. Tum on the projector — Press the 'S" button on the remote "Input Source" — Select"Mirror"— Appear mirror interface — Press the 'OK" button.
2. Plug the original cable of your Android equipment to the 5V OUT Port.
3. On the "Do you allow debugging via USB?" Prompt, tap "OK".
4. After a while, Android screen will be displayed on the projector.

Warming Tips:

1. The USB cable MUST be the ORIGINAL cable or the cable which can transfer the data, otherwise screen mirroring may fail. You can plug the cable Into your laptop to check the availability of transferring the data.
2. Some mobile devices may not support screen mirroring due to the compatibility.
3. Some Android mobile devices may only transfer the display without audio due too the protocol restrictions.

<X_ ZOOM & Y_ZOOM>
When playing an image or video, if you want to reduce the size of the projected image or video, you can use the remote control to select the X_ZOOM & Y_ZOOM to adjust the projection size:

1. Click "X_ZOOM" to adjust the horizontal size of the projection image.
2. Click "Y_ZOOM" to adjust tie vertical size of the projection image.
   You can reduce the height and width of original size up to 50%.

Note:

1. When connecting a Blueteeth speaker, Need to disconnect from the previously connected device or turn off the previous Blueteeth device, make sure the speaker is waiting for pairing, or the projector cannot search for Blueteeth or cannot connect to Blueteeth speakers.

PROJECTOR CONNECTIONS

Connecting to the Computer

Using the HDMI in the package to connect with projector.
(An HDMI connection is recommended for projecting movies, videos, and other files which need to be HD.)

1. Turn on your computer and the projector;
2. Connect the HDMI/VGA cable to your computer's HDMI/VGA port;
3. Connect the other end to any available HDMI/VGA port on your projector;
4. Press the "Source" button to enter the interface of Input Source;
5. Select HDMI/ PC-RGB source to project any files on your computer;
6. On your laptop, hold down the key board keys to change your display mode:
   
   Computer only: is the default option — only displays on the main monitor.
   Duplicate: makes all of the monitors display the same thing duplicating the desktop on each monitor.
   Extend: makes all Of your monitors act like one big monitor extending the desktop across all of them.
   Projector only: Displays only on the secondary monitor like a projector.
   
7. You can change your screen resolution: Choose Start → Control Panel → Appearance and Personalization → Adjust Screen Resolution
   

( Note: VGA connection can only transmit analog signal of video not audio. An external speaker is required when the device is connected via VGA cable.)

Connecting to the DVD Player

Use the AV cable in the package.

1. Turn on your DVD player and the projector;
2. Connect the colorful female connectors to your DVD player's RCA cable;
3. Connect the black connector to the Audio-in port of the projector;
4. Connect the yellow connector of another side to the video port of the projector;
5. Press the Source button on the projector or the S button on the remote to select the correct AV source.
   
   
   Or use the HDMI cable in the package:

Connecting to the Speaker

1. If your speaker has AIJX port, please use your 3.5mm audio cable connect with the Projector's audio out port and your speaker's AUX port.
   
2. If your speaker haven't AUX port, please purchase a 2RCA cable, and then use it connect with the Projector's audio out port and your speaker's Left and Right ports.
   

( Note: Due to the Copyright issues, the projector does not support Dolby Sound For the 3D player; please turn aff the Dolby Sound function.)

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problems listed below might occur during the operation of your projector. Please refer to the possible factors which might cause the issue to do troubleshooting.

Why is the display of the projector available but without audio?

• The Projector or the connected device (PC, DVD, etc,) is muted
• Dolby sound is not supported, exit to play again
• The audio format is not supported by the projector
• VGA connection can only transmit analog signal of video not audio. An external speaker is required when the device is connected via VGA cable.
• Encryption applied to the videos or media player which holds the video. Try more videos to define this possibility.
• Exclude the above possibilities, try another HDMI cable/external speaker, and a 2.0USB disk within 32G/USB hard disk within 1 TB to play directly to check if the video and audio are both available.

Why is the audio of the projector available but without display?

• The video format is not supported by the projector
• Encryption applied to the videos or media player which holds the video
• If the lamp of the projector is off with only audio playing, the lamp is defective. Please contact YABER for a replacement.
• Try another HDMI cable if you select the HDMI input source

Why does the projection screen show no signal?

• Make sure all cables are plugged correctly and firmly
• Make sure you select the right input source. For example, if you insert a IJSB drive, please select USB in the interface of Input Source
• USB 2.0 disk is supported on this projector If a USB 3.0 is connected, it will only show No Signal.

How can I do if the image is blurry or out of shape?

• Adjust the focus and keystone ring by moving it leftward/rightward till it shows the best images
• Place projector on a flat surface horizontally or vertically An inclination of any angle may result in blurry displays or uneven colors
• Darker environment suggested achieving the best projecting performance
• The eligible distance of 30ft - 11,5ft between the projector and projecting screen/wall.
• Projecting wall or screen is clean white if possible.

How can I do if the image is up side down?

• Enter Menu-Picture-Projection Direction to flip the projection image accordingly.

How can I do if the projection screen is not square or allied horizontally?

• Make sure the projector is placed on a fiat surface with projector light in the middle of the screen.
• Make sure the projector screen is placed horizontally.

How can I do if there is color distortion?

• Make sure the video source has a fine resolution.
• Adjust the colors: enter Menu-Picture-Color Temperature, then select different modes and adjust the value accordingly.
• Reset the projector to manufacturer setting: enter Menu-Option-Restore Factory Default to reset,

How can I do if the remote is unresponsive?

• Make sure the batteries are installed correctly and the power is enough,
• The remote works with the projector through the IR receiver. The remote works only when the IR receiver is within the direct reaction distance and will be unresponsive if the IR receiver is blocked or covered.

How should I do if there are small dots on display?

• It may be caused during installing or shipping, please contact YABER to get the video about how to clean it.

Can this projector support 3D effect?

• The projector supports 3D video source, and 3D viewing performance is achievable with Red-Blue 3D Glasses; but please understand the experience will not be better than in the theater and we do not recommend it if you have a higher expectation about 3D effect.

Why doesn't anything work in the main interface especially with external storage connected?

• Correct input source must be selected when you use the USB disk or other device; otherwise, No Signal will be shown on the screen.

Why doesn't the projector's lamp light up?

• Please contact YABER for assistance when this occurs.

What kind of cable do I need when connecting TV BOX, Fire stick and DVD Player to the projector?

• HDMI cable for all devices mentioned above. For some PC without HDMI port, VGA cable will work. Certain DVD players require the AV cable connection.
