Press the POWER switch to the ON position, and turn on the power
to the other audio components you wish to use.

* If you select a music source other than TAPE 2, switch off the TAPE
2 MONITOR.
2. Operate the appropriate audio component to play back the program
source.
3. Adjust the volume and tone controls as desired.
© When listening to a monaural! source, turn the DSSS switch ON
to enjoy simulated stereo sound.

CENTER MONO OUT switch
If Center speakers are connected and you are listening with the
surround mode OFF (stereo mode), you can press the CENTER
MONDO OUT switch to output a combination of left and right channel
signals as monaural sound through the center speakers. This may
be desirable to fill out the middle of the stereo image. The CENTER
MODE MONO indicator lights to confirm operation.

RECORDING
You can record sound from TUNER LINE, CD, and PHONO on TAPE
1/DAT, or TAPE 2 cassette decks.
For TAPE 1/DAT, you can select the source with the REC SELECTOR.

When not using the REC SELECTOR
3. Load the TAPE 1/DAT cassette deck (or DAT deck) with a tape
for recording.
4. Start recording on the TAPE 1/DAT cassette deck (or DAT deck).
5. Start playback
on the component
selected
with the
INPUT
SELECTOR switch.
When using the REC SELECTOR switch
With the INPUT SELECTOR switches, you can select a component and
a different recording source. For example, you can listen to a record
while recording a CD.
1. Select the source you want to record from (TUNER LINE, CD, or
PHONO) with the REC SELECTOR switches.
