Press the POWER switch to the ON position.
Select TUNER with the INPUT SELECTOR.
Be sure to turn the TAPE 2 MONITOR switch OFF when listening to
AM or FM broadcasts.
STATION CALL
MANUAL TUNING
1. Press the DOOR OPEN switch to reveal the hinged panel.
2. Use the BAND switch to select either FM or AM.
3. Select your desired frequency with the JOG dial.
¢ Turn the JOG diat clockwise and the frequency increases, turn
it counter clockwise and the frequency decreases.
* When a station is received, the TUNED indicator lights.
AUTO TUNING
Press the DOOR OPEN switch to reveal the hinged panel.
Use the BAND switch to select either FM or AM.
Press the ''+'' or ''—"' switch of the AUTO TUNING switches.
* Pressing ''+'' causes scanning to take place in the direction of
increasing frequency. Pressing ''~'' causes scanning to take place
in the direction of decreasing frequency.
e When a station is received, scanning will stop (the TUNED
indicator lights). If you wish to receive a different station, press
the AUTO TUNING switch (" +' or "'~"') again.
DIRECT ACCESS TUNING

When you know the frequency of the desired station, the frequency
can be input directly using the STATION CALL (number) switches in
the following way:
Press the DOOR OPEN switch to reveal the hinged panel.
Use the BAND switch to choose either FM or AM.
Press the DIRECT ACCESS switch.

To cancel frequency input
If none of the STATION CALL switches (*1 — *0) are pressed for a
period of approximately five seconds, the unit returns to the state it was
in before the DIRECT ACCESS switch was pressed.
