1. Select the source you want to record from with the input
selector buttons.
When recording to AM or FM broadcasts, select a preset station
using the MULTI-JOG. If the desired station has not been preset,
tune in the station.
2. Start recording on TAPE 1 cassette deck.
3. Play the desired program source (record, compact disc, ete.}.
@ The volume, balance, and tone controls have no effect on the
recording.
RECORDING WITH TAPE 2
The REC SEL button does not operate with TAPE
2. The source
selected by the input selector buttons can be recorded.
1. Select the source you want to record from with the input
selector buttons.
2. Start recording on the TAPE 2 cassette deck.
3. Play the desired program source (record, compact disc, etc.).
® The voiume, balance, and tone controls have no effect on the
recording.
USING VCR 1, VCR 2 FOR AUDIO RECORDING

The audio signai output from the VCR 1 and VCR 2 AUDIO OUT jacks
is the same as that output from the TAPE 1 REC jacks, so you can
record using the same procedure as for recording with TAPE 1.

The following operations concern TAPE 1 toe TAPE 2 copying.
1. Press the TAPE 1 input seiector button.
2. Load the TAPE 1 cassette deck with a tape to playback.
3. Load the TAPE 2 cassette deck with a tape to record to.
4, Start recording on the TAPE 2 cassette deck.
5. Start playback on the TAPE 1 cassette deck.
The following operations concern TAPE 2 to TAPE 1 copying.
1, Select a source other than TAPE 1 with the input selector
buttons.
. Press the TAPE 2 MONITOR button to turn it ON.
Load the TAPE 2 cassette deck with a tape to play back.
Load the TAPE 1 cassette deck with a tape te record to.
Start recording on the TAPE 1 cassette deck.
6. Start playback on the TAPE 2 cassette deck.

Tape monitoring
When
recording is performed on a cassette deck equipped with
monitoring function, the recorded sound can be monitored through
the speaker system by pressing the TAPE 2 MONITOR button to ON.

VCR's

procedures. Recording can be performed on both VCR 1 and VCR 2.
When not using the REC SELECTOR

NOTE:

When recording with VCR 1, be sure the input selector is set to a
position other than VCR 1. When recording with VCR 2, be sure the
input selector is set to a position other than VCR 2.
When using the REC SELECTOR (VCR 1 only)...
With the input selector buttons, you can select a component and a
different recording source. For example, you can listen ta a record
while recording a CD.
1. Select the source you want to record from with the REC SEL
{SELECTOR) button.

MULTI-ROOM
& SOURCE
is on, REC SEL does not
operate, so switch the MULTI-ROOM & SOURCE button off.
2. Start recording on VCR 1.
3. Start playback on the component selected with the REC SEL
button.
NOTE:
When using the REC SEL button, do not select the component that
you are using for recording audio on {VCR 1) with the input selector.
