Mechanical inspection
Insulation test
Gas flow rate and leak test
Water flow rate and leak test
Electrical testing of operating elements and displays
Current load test/voltage drop measurement
Wearing parts such as gas nozzles, fixing sleeve, clamping nut, torch cap, lock
washer, tungsten electrode, etc. must not be contaminated or worn
Only install wearing parts in accordance with the Spare Parts List
Check torch body for mechanical damage (thread, clamping nut, torch cap, rubber
insulation) and wear
Check torch handles and operating elements for mechanical damage and complete-
ness
Check the anti-kink protection for functionality
Check protective hose for mechanical damage (cuts, tears, etc.)
Check power source connection for mechanical damage
Check control line for mechanical damage, completeness and check that the strain-
relief device is working properly
Check water power cable, water hoses, and connections for mechanical damage
and leaks
Check gas hose and connections for leaks
WARNING!
In the event of gas leaks in the hosepack, there is a risk of electric shock dur-
ing HF ignition
O-rings must not be brittle or worn
Setting for test voltage: 500 V DC
Measure between power connection
1
and all contacts of the control line
Insulation resistance min. 1MW
