6 Electrical Connection

6.1 Safety Precaution

• Disconnect the PV connectors and the AC output switch of the inverter to power off the
inverter before any electrical connections. Do not work with power on. Otherwise, an electric
shock may occur.
• Perform electrical connections in compliance with local laws and regulations. Including
operations, cables, and component specifications.
• If the cable bears too much tension, the connection may be poor. Reserve a certain length of
the cable before connecting it to the inverter
• Wear personal protective equipment like safety shoes, safety gloves, and insulating gloves
during electrical connections.
• All electrical connections should be performed by qualified professionals.
• Cable colors in this document are for reference only. The cable specifications shall meet local
laws and regulations.
• The inverter must be licensed by the electricity authority of the country/region in which it is
located before it can be connected to the grid.

6.2 System Network Diagram

• Prepare cables based on installation plan before electrical connections.
• After installing the inverters, peel the removable serial number label from the micro inverter
and affix it on a paper to create a installation map. Or add the layout via SEMS Portal web to
monitor the working status of the inverters.
