[ Recording with Dolby HX Pro
When recording on B deck, the Dolby HX Pro headroom extension
function automatically operates to provide a recording with superi-
or high-frequency characteristics.
What is Doiby HX Pro?
In ordinary
recording
using
high-frequency
biasing,
the
high-
frequency bias current, which
should be constant,
is increased
with some
recording sources due to the high-frequency compo-
nent
contained
in the
music,
etc.
This
increase
affects
the
48 = -97/97M(En)
When the [REC LEVEL]key is pressed, the recording level is
displayed for about 5 seconds regardless of the [DISPLAY]
key setting. Although the standard recording level has been
set for each input source of the amplifier, the standard level
can be varied by pressing the|REC LEVEL|key.
The standard level is not displayed during CCRS recording.

Convenient for re-recording in the middle of a music
piece.
A non-recorded
space of 4 seconds or more should
be reserved before the position where recording was
started.

degraded dynamic range and frequency response.
The Dolby HX Pro circuit detects the high-frequency component
contained in the music source being recorded, and reduces exces-
sive bias current to make it constant. As a result, the recording
characteristics of high frequencies are drastically improved,
and
the improved
high-frequency
reproduction
can
also be enjoyed
even
when
the tape
is played
on tape decks
which
are
not
equipped with circuit.
