Set the left and right mar-
gins, tabs and
printing
pitch.

Press the TEXT IN/OUT
Key. The following mes-
sage is indicated for about
a second on the LCD Dis-
play.
TEXT MEMORY MODE
• T h e
LCD Display mes-
sage then changes to:
FILE NAME
=
<FWD FOR LIST)

Input the file name using
a maximum of 16 charac-
ters.
For
example,
input
" L E T T E R 1 " .
(When inputting the file
name, all the letters will
appear as capitals on the
LCD Display.)
• T h e
following
will
appear on the LCD Dis-
play.
FILE NAME
=LETTER1

Press the RETURN Key.
The
following
message
will appear on the LCD
Display.
NEW FILE
! !
• T h e
LCD Display mes-
sage then changes to:
STORE LINE FORMAT V/N ?
N

To
memorize
the
reg-
istered line format, press
the Y
Key.
When not memorizing the
line format, press the N
Key.
•By
pressing the Y Key,
the current line format
(Margins, Tabs, Printing
Pitch) will be
memo-
rized, and will be used
when printing. The " Q "
symbol will appear on
the LCD Display.
The " Q " symbol indi-
cates that the line for-
mat has been
memo-
rized.
LETTERIB*
• B y
pressing the N Key,
the line format will not
be
memorized.
When
the text is printed, it will
be printed in accordance
with the current Mar-
gins, Tabs, and Printing
Pitch settings.
The following message
will appear on the LCD
Display.
LETTER1*

Enter the text
without
taking note of the mar-
gins.
The text appears on the
LCD Display and thus
can be checked while it is
entered.
If the right margin is ex-
ceeded, the
Word-wrap
Function
automatically
moves the last word to the
next line.
•Press
the RETURN Key
only when required at
the end of paragraph.
The return mark " ^ "
will then appear on the
LCD Display.
