@ Time counter/HOURS METER display
Indicates the data selected with the CTL/TC/U-BIT switch @ and the HOURS
METER
button ©.
When the HOURS METER display mode is selected, it is automatically switched over
to the time counter display mode in about 5 seconds.
In the case where an error code (Error-XX) is displayed, follow the appropriate check
procedure consulting the maintenance manual.

When CTL
is selected with the CTL/TC/U-BIT select switch, pressing this button resets
the CTL counter (the CTL indication on the time counter/HOURS METER display is
reset to '0:00:00:00")
© HOURS METER button
Switches the time counter display mode to the HOURS METER display mode. After
that, each time you press the button, the data item to be displayed is changed in the
following order:
OP —> dr—»> TP —> TH
(HOURS METER display mode)
Time counter data
(normal display mode)
OP: The accumulated POWER ON time.
dr: The accumulated time for which the drums rotate in the tape-threaded state.
TP: The accumulated time for which tape runs in the REW, PLAY,
F FWD, SEARCH
FORWARD and SEARCH REVERSE modes.
TH: The total number of times of tape threading/unthreading.
¢ The maximum value of OP, dr or TP which can be displayed is 9999H. The moment
the value reaches 10000, the indication returns to OOOOH.
¢ The maximum value of TH which can be displayed is 99999. The moment the value
reaches 100000, the indication returns to 00000.
¢ The HOURS METER display mode is automatically reset to the normal (time counter)
display mode about 5 seconds after the HOURS METER button was last pressed.
@® HEADPHONES
LEVEL contro! and HEADPHONES jack (stereo phone jack)
Connect a set of 8-ohm stereo headphones to the jack. The audio signal selected with
the AUDIO switches can be monitored (see "' @ AUDIO switches," page 5.) The level
of the signal output from the jack can be adjusted with the HEADPHONES
LEVEL

control.
