To reset the CTL
indication
Press the RESET button. The indication will be reset to '0:00:00:00". If the tape is
rewound from the '0:00:00:00" position, the CTL data will be indicated with a "—"
(minus) mark.
Search operation
Press the SEARCH FORWARD or REVERSE button for forward or reverse search.
Playback occurs in the selected direction at 3.5 times the normal speed.
To quickly advance the tape in the forward direction
Press the F FWD button.
To rewind the tape
Press the REW button.
To adjust the tracking
Normally, set the TRACKING control to FIXED.
If noise or snow appears in the playback picture, adjust by turning the TRACKING
control clockwise or counterclockwise.
To adjust the HEADPHONES jack output signal level
Turn the HEADPHONES
LEVEL control clockwise or counterclockwise.
Avoid repeatedly bringing the tape to a sudden stop or sudden change of running
directions by pressing the STOP, SEARCH REVERSE or SEARCH FORWARD button in
quick succession. Such manner of operation may cause an inaccuracy in time code
reading or CTL pulse counting. In other words, it may result in a difference of several
frames between the time data exactly corresponding to the actual tape position and
that indicated on the time counter/HOURS METER display or superimposed on the
monitor screen.
