@ TRACKING control
Normally set the control to the center FIXED position. When noise appears in the
playback picture, adjust the tracking with the control.

@ AuTO OFF indicator
Lights up when moisture condensation is detected on the head drum or when the tape
protection mechanism enters into action.
® Tape transport buttons and indicators
When a tape transport button or the corresponding button on the remote control unit is
pressed, the associated indicator lights and keeps lit while the button's function is
being performed.
EJECT button
REW (rewind) button
Press this button to rewind the tape.
PLAY button
Press this button to start playback.
F FWD (fast forward) button
Press this button to advance the tape quickly.
STOP button
Each time a cassette is inserted, the unit is automatically set to the STOP mode.
It remains in the STOP mode until one of the tape transport buttons or the
SEARCH
button is pressed.
@ REMOTE jack (special minijack)
When you want to control the BVW-22P from the remote control unit via the remote
control cable, connect the cable to this jack.
@® SEARCH buttons and indicators
REVERSE button and indicator
Press the button for reverse playback at 3.5 times the normal speed (reverse search).
The indicator keeps lit while reverse search is being performed.
FORWARD button and indicator
Press the button for forward playback at 3.5 times the normal speed (forward search).
The indicator keeps lit while forward search is being performed.
@ REMOTE CONTROL sensor and indicator
When you want to operate the BVW-22P using the remote control unit in the wireless
mode, press the desired tape transport button (except for the REC button) on the
remote control unit while pointing the unit toward the REMOTE CONTROL sensor. The
REMOTE CONTROL indicator on the player's control panel will light up to indicate that
the player has received the signal transmitted from the remote control unit.
