To temporarily stop playback operation
During playback or search operation, you can temporarily stop the tape and monitor a
still picture by pressing the PAUSE button on the remote contro! unit. During the
PAUSE period, the indicator for the previous operation keeps lit.
To exit from the PAUSE mode:
A. Press the PAUSE button again (the previous operation restarts), or
B. Press any other desired contro! button (the operation assigned to the pressed button
starts).
When the PAUSE mode continues one minute, the tape is automatically detensioned
and the drum stops rotating. At the same time, the still picture disappears and the
STOP indicator on the player's control panel lights up.
