@ DOLBY NR button and indicator
When an oxide tape is to be played back and you want to turn on the Dolby C type
noise reduction system for the LNG audio track, press the button to make the indicator
light up. To turn off the system, press the button again (the indicator will go out).
The unit keeps in memory whether the Dolby system was ON or OFF when the power
was last turned off.
When a metal particle tape is loaded into the player, the Dolby system is automatically
switched on (the indicator lights up). In this case, you cannot switch off the DOLBY
system by pressing the DOLBY NR button.
2) AUDIO switches
Select the signal to be output from the HEADPHONES jack, AUDIO OUTPUT CH-1/3,
AUDIO OUTPUT CH-2/4, AUDIO OUTPUT MONITOR, RF OUT and MONITOR
connectors.

Set the switch to ON to turn on the power. Eight Os will appear in the time
counter/HOURS METER display (or seven Os will appear when the CTL/TC/U-BIT
select switch is set to CTL).
e Cassette compartment
Insert a cassette here. For inserting a small size cassette, align the cassette with the
marks on the compartment window.

When you want to superimpose CTL, time code (LTC) or user bit data on the pictures
displayed on the monitors connected to the VIDEO OUTPUT, RF OUT and MONITOR
connectors, press the button to make the indicator light up. To make the unit exit from
the SUPERIMPOSE mode, press the button again (the indicator will go out).
The unit keeps in memory whether the SUPERIMPOSE function was ON or OFF when
the power was last turned off.
@ cTL/tc/u-BIT select switch
Selects which data is to be indicated on the time counter/HOURS METER display.
CTL: Tape running time in hours, minutes, seconds and frames determined by
counting the CTL signal.
TC: Time code (LTC) read by the built-in time code reader.
U-BIT: User bit data read by the built-in time code reader.
