Enhanced ease of operation and improved functions
Controllable on the front panel
Cassette insertion/ejection and other operations can be performed on the front control
panel.
Supplied remote control unit
Playback, search and other frequent operations can be performed using the supplied
remote control unit. You may connect the remote contro! unit to the BVW-22P by the
supplied cable, or you may operate it in the wireless mode.
Built-in RF modulator
RF-modulated video and audio signals are output from the player's RF OUT connector,
and can be monitored on a conventional TV receiver.
Computer servo system
The CPU controls four direct drive DC motors for the drum, capstan and two reels to
enable quick and accurate tape access.
Audio noise reduction system
The noise reduction system of Dolby C type NR* is used for channels 1 and 2 (LNG
audio), which can be turned on/off as required when an oxide tape is played back. For
channels 3 and 4 (AFM audio), is used the "Betacam" noise reduction system (fixed
emphasis, 1-to-2 logarithmic compression/expansion).
Built-in time code reader
The time code (LTC**) or user bit data can be read by the built-in time code reader
during playback.
Display and superimposition of time data
A time counter is provided which can selectively display CTL, time code (LTC**), or
user bit data. These time data can be superimposed on video signals to be output
from the VIDEO OUTPUT, RF OUT or MONITOR connector.
