12.1.2.5 CHECK BRAKE AND DECELERATOR
PEDAL TRAVEL

Measure the pedal (1) free height (A) from the floor plate; 137 mm (5.4
in).
When this value exceeds this amount, or the brake fails to work, refer
to your Komatsu distributor.
12.1.2.6 CHECK SECONDARY
BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL

Depress secondary brake pedal (2) all the way until it stops.
Measure the pedal travel from fully depressed position (C) to the fully
released position (B); 38 mm (1.5 in).
When this value exceeds this amount, or the brake fails to work, refer
to your Komatsu distributor.
12.1.2.7 CHECK FUEL FILTER WATER DRAIN, DRAIN
1. Open access door at left engine side sheet.
2. Open the valve and drain water and sediment from the filter until clean
diesel fuel appears. Close the valve and access door.
