SPECIFICATION
The 4643 Printer is a general purpose , medium speed
serial impact printer designed for use as an alphanu
meric output device for information processing sys
tems such as the TEKTRONIX 4050 Series Graphic
System . It has a dual column , 14 -wire matrix print head
that combines the speed of a multiple head printer with
the flexibility of a single head printer . The print head
moves horizontally and prints in both directions to
increase print speed . The print head has a life
expectancy of more than 300 million characters and is
replaceable by the operator.

4643 PRINTER OPERATOR'S
Paper may be loaded from the front , bottom , or rear
(optional) . Horizontal and vertical alignment guides
allow precise positioning of the paper forms . The
ribbon is housed in an easy to load cassette for quick
replacement by the operator. Other features include
condensed print, paper-out switch , form thickness
control, status display, and built - in self-test.

verify that all of the standard accessories are in the
package when the printer is unpacked . In addition to

If your 4643 Printer should require any service during
the warranty period , call your nearest Tektronix Service
Center. Only Tektronix service personnel will perform
repair or maintenance work under terms of the
