Questions and Answers about the Learning Function Returning to the Initial Settings
Q: The remote control unit of my VCR has two REC (recording) keys. 1. Set the LEARN selector switch to the LEARN position.
They both have to be pressed at the same time to start recording. 2. Remove the battery cover.
What is the learning procedure in this case?
A: Hold one of the keys on the programmable remote control depressed
{for example the VCR @ key} until the LEARN indicator lights up,
and then press the two keys on the VCR remote control
simultaneously.

regardless of the setting of the transmit mode. This means you can
program audio commands while the mode selector switch is on video
and vice versa.
