WARNING The charging cradle should be used only for charging the GlideScope Go 2 monitor. Any use of the charging cradle other than charging the GlideScope Go 2 monitor can cause malfunctions or equipment damage.

Introduction System Overview The GlideScope Go 2 system features a small handheld monitor that can use either GlideScope Spectrum QC video laryngoscopes or a GlideScope Video Baton QC Large with GlideScope GVL Stats 3 and 4. GlideScope Spectrum QC video laryngoscopes are durable, single-use plastic blades that must be disposed of after one use.

BUTTON FUNCTION Cancel: Closes the current window or message, canceling any setting change that was in progress. Save or Confirm: Saves and closes the current setting or acknowledges and closes a message. Toggle (on): Indicates the associated setting is turned on. Toggle (off): Indicates the associated setting is turned off.

1. Verify that you have received the appropriate components for your system by referring to the packing list included with the system. 2. Inspect the components for damage. 3. If any of the components are missing or damaged, notify the carrier and either Verathon Customer Care or your local representative. 4. Fully charge the monitor battery.
Warnings & Cautions section before performing the following tasks. The GlideScope Go 2 monitor includes an internal lithium battery. Verathon recommends that you charge the battery fully prior to first use. Under normal operating conditions, a fully charged battery lasts approximately 100 minutes before it needs to be recharged.

Procedure 3. Complete the Setup Wizard (Optional) The first time the monitor is turned on, a setup wizard guides you through some initial settings. If the setup wizard has already been completed, or you decide to skip the setup wizard, all settings can be modified in Configure User Settings (Optional) on page 18.

9. Tap the toggle to set the Automatic Shutdown preference. Tap Shutdown Timer to select the timer duration. Tap the Forward button to continue. Note: Automatic Shutdown is only active when the monitor does not have a blade attached. 10. Tap the toggles to set the Snapshot and Video preferences. When these toggles are on, the Snapshot or Video buttons are displayed on the main window.

Configure User Settings (Optional) The Settings menu allows you to configure, change, or view the following system settings and information: Note: Some settings may be grayed out if the battery has less than 30 minutes of charge remaining. MEDIA Use the Media Settings menu to view the monitor’s available storage, view the amount of storage used by images and videos, export images and videos to a USB drive, or remove images and video from the monitor. • To configure Media settings, from the Home screen, tap the More button, tap the Settings button, and then tap Media.

Service Log — device errors. This information can only be exported by Verathon service representatives. Procedure 5. Insert the Video Baton into the Stat (Optional) If you are using a video baton and a GVL Stat, attach the Stat to the baton before you connect the baton to the monitor.
Procedure 6. Attach the Blade or Baton The blade or video baton attaches to the monitor’s connector arm. The monitor rotates on the connector arm, allowing you to set a starting angle to begin the intubation. It is recommended that you leave single-use accessories in their packaging while connecting them, and that you do not remove it until you are ready to perform the procedure.
Warnings & Cautions section before performing the following tasks. To perform an intubation, Verathon recommends using the GlideScope 4-Step Technique as outlined in this procedure. Each step begins with where the user should be looking to complete that action. Prior to beginning this procedure, verify that the monitor is receiving an accurate image from the video laryngoscope.
Procedure 3. Set Dynamic Light Control (Optional) Dynamic Light Control (DLC) is designed to assist in optimizing image quality and brightness at the vocal cords. DLC is only available when a compatible laryngoscope is connected to the monitor 1. With a compatible laryngoscope connected to the monitor, tap anywhere on the Home screen. 2.
Procedure 5. Disconnect the Blade or Baton 1. To disconnect the scope from the monitor, hold the monitor in one hand and the scope’s body in the other, and then pull. The scope disconnects from the monitor. Procedure 6. Remove the Stat (Video Batons Only) The GVL Stat is a sterile, single-use device.

If your monitor does not function as described in this manual, or to determine if your software should be updated, contact Verathon Customer Care. Do not perform any software upgrades from third-party vendors or attempt to modify the existing software.
