The clearance between the upper feed link shaft and upper feed lower shaft should be 2.5 mm when the
upper feed adjusting dial is set to "0".

To check:
1. Set the upper feed adjusting dial at "0".
Remove the belt cover and base plate (refer to
pages 2 and 3).
2. Turn the power switch on and select straight
stitch (
).
3. Lower the feed dog.
4. Press the needle up/down button twice to raise
the needle, and the upper feed dog position will be
initialized.
5. Check if the clearance between the upper feed link
shaft and upper feed lower shaft is 2.5 mm.
If not, adjust it as follows.
To adjust:
1. Loosen the setscrew (use an Allen wrench of 2 mm
width across flats) on the upper feed adjusting arm (1).
2. Adjust the clearance between the upper feed link
shaft and upper feed lower shaft to 2.5 mm.
