Needle threader hook position

If the hook of the hook holder unit is damaged, replace or adjust the part as follows:
Setscrew
Mechanical Adjustment
Hook holder
Rotation pin
stopper
Hexagonal
socket screw
To replace:
1. Push down the needle threader lever and pull the
hook holder unit down to remove it.
2. Replace the hook holder unit.
To adjust:
1. Push down the threader lever and hold it just before
the threader hook enters into the needle eye.
2. If the threader hook is not aligned vertically with the
needle eye, loosen the hexagonal socket screw.
Adjust the rotation pin stopper position so that the
hook enters into the needle eye.
Tighten the hexagonal socket screw.
If the threader hook is not aligned laterally with the
needle eye, loosen the setscrew.
Adjust the lateral position so that the hook enters into
the needle eye.
Tighten the setscrew.
* Check the needle threader release amount for the
wire of the hook holder after this adjustment (refer to
page 27).
