Angle adjustment of the folding backrest:
1. Open the upper screws and
loosen the screw connection
(Figure 1).
2. The hole in the back tube must
be lined up with the hole in the
connecting part, such that you
can set the desired backrest
angle (Figure 2).
3. Fit the screw connection with
the nut and washer until they are
hand tight, so that there is no
lateral play between the compo-
nents. But you must still be able
to fold the back tube down
easily.
4. Set the folding mechanism: To
do this, loosen the nuts on the
cam slightly (Figure 3). Set the
cam (component 1) such that
the folding mechanism locks
into place with no play (if
necessary use a 10 mm open-
ended spanner to do this). Then
hold the cam in position and
tighten the nuts (5 Nm).
5. Repeat steps 1 to 4 for the
second side.
Adjustable back sling
(7.77.2)
The adjustable back-sling can be
adjusted for tension by using
several straps. The back-sling
upholstery can be accessed from
the inside via an opening and can
be upholstered to suit individual
tastes.
Height-adjustable backrest
(7.77)
The back height may be set to
various back heights, in 2.5 cm
steps. Adjustment ranges (25-30
cm, 30-40 cm, 40-45 cm). Release
the screw (1) and set the backrest
to the desired height. Tighten up
the screws again (see the page on
torque).
Padded swingaway armrests
(7.81.3)
The swing-away armrests can eit-
her be removed or swung away, so
that it is easier to get into and out
of the chair from the side. They
can be height-adjusted (50 mm),
by pushing the bolts (G) up or
down in the pre-drilled holes on
the armrest brackets. Fitting the
swing-away and removable arm-
rests is carried out by pushing the
receiver tube (H) onto the rear
frame tube.
