8 Maintenance
The main clock is to a large extent maintenance-free. Nevertheless, it is necessary that the
user carries out the following maintenance work.
Every 3 months:
Clean the main clock with a dry textile cloth.
ATTENTION! Material risk!
Never use any chemical detergents, alcohol or abrasives for the cleaning !
Every 2 years:
Replace the internal accumulator to maintain the emergency operating features of the main
clock.
Accumulator replacement at wall-
mounting version:
1. Unscrew the 2 screws ( Ill. 8/1)
2. Remove the protection cover from
the terminal strip ( Ill. 8/2).
3. Unplug the connector ( Ill. 9/1).
4. Strip off the accumulator ( Ill. 9/2)
from the Velcro tape fixed on the
bottom of the case.
5. Remove the Velcro tape from the
old accumulator and stick it to the
lower part of the new accumulator.
6. Place the new accumulator in its
position and secure it on the Velcro
tape.
7. Plug the connector.
NOTICE!
It is only possible to plug the connector
if the polarity is correct.
8. Replace the cover and screw in the
screws.
9. Dispose of the old accumulator in an
environmentally friendly way.
ATTENTION! Environmental risk!
Accumulators are hazardous waste and have to be treated by approved
hazardous waste disposal sites!
