6.5.2 Setting of baud rate

1. Refer to the documentation of the GPS receiver for the data to be set.
2. Remove write protection ( 6.2.1).
3. Press the key 1 several times until
the message on the right appears on
the display:
4. Press the ENTER key for confirmation. The cursor starts flashing.
5. Press the key 3 to set the baud rate.
6. Press the key 4 to modify the number of stop bits.
7. Press the ENTER key to confirm the modification.
To cancel the modification, press the MENUE key twice.
8. Press the MENUE key to return to the time display.

6.5.3 Synchronisation of the clock with GPS signal

The PPS signal of the GPS receiver is necessary for the exact synchronisation of the main
clock. The PPS impulse length should not be longer then 100ms and should be at least
200ms send before the NMEA protocol.
Additionally, a synchronisation without PPS impulse (NO PPS) can be activated for NMEA
receivers.

message on the right appears on the

3. Press ENTER key for confirmation. The cursor starts flashing.
4. Press the key 2 to select whether the data is to be adopted with the positive flank
(Pos.) or with the negative (Neg.) flank depending on the GPS receiver.
5. Press the ENTER key to confirm the modification.
To cancel the modifications, press the MENUE key twice.
6. Press the MENUE key to return to the time display.
NOTICE!
After having finished the settings, the main clock automatically adopts the UTC and
date. The LTC has possibly to be set by hand.
NOTICE!
In case the receiver signal is interrupted, the main clock keeps running with a high
accuracy thanks to its internal oscillator.
