Turning off the display automatically
Before your computer runs out of battery power, save your data
and:
❖
Suspend or shut down your computer.
❖
Shut down your computer and replace the main battery with a
charged one as outlined in
❖
Install a secondary battery module in the computer's
SelectBay.
Connect your computer to an AC power source.
Turning off the display automatically
To save power, it's a good idea to set the display to turn off
automatically when you're not using the computer. You can do
this several ways:
❖
Use the Windows Display Properties to enable the blank
screen saver.
❖
Use the Windows Power Saver Properties to turn off the LCD
panel after a certain amount of time has passed.
Enabling the screen saver
Click Start , point to Settings , then click Control Panel .
