Using a supervisor password

Click Exit .

A dialog box appears prompting you to shut down the
computer.
TECHNICAL NOTE: If you try to change the password before
restarting the computer, the password that was in place the
last time the computer was started will be the effective
password.
Click OK to shut down the computer.

A supervisor password prevents other users from changing
hardware configuration options.
Setting a supervisor password in Windows 98 Second

Click Start , then click Shut Down .
