Component Installation

Power checks

Make sure the primary and secondary power supplies are charged and providing the correct voltage.
Make sure the primary and secondary power supplies are correctly connected to the jet interface
modules.
Check the voltage for each of the following:
Primary battery to port jet interface module.
Secondary battery to port jet interface module.
Primary battery to starboard jet interface module.
Secondary battery to starboard jet interface module.
The voltage should be 24V but a range of 18-32V will allow the system to operate.
Switch the power on to the control system.
Switch off the primary supply and make sure the system gets power from the secondary power supply.
Switch off the secondary power supply and make sure the system gets power from the primary power
supply.
Make sure that the station control panels still get power if either the port or starboard jet interface
modules are lost.

General checks

Make sure that the station control panel can still communicate with both jet interface modules:
If one of the two cables between the jet interface module and the station control panel is
disconnected.
If the cable between jet interface modules is disconnected.
Check that the alarm sounder is correctly attached.
Check all necessary relays, sensors and circuit breakers are correctly installed.
If all installation checks are acceptable, continue with system commissioning.
