About this manual
This manual:
provides an overview of the blue ARROW control system;
describes how to install and service the blue ARROW control system for HTX30 waterjets;
has been written for installation, maintenance, and service personnel;
assumes the reader is familiar with marine vessel control systems and is trained in their installation and
maintenance.
Other sources of information include:
the blue ARROW User Guide, which describes how to operate the blue ARROW system;
the HTX30 waterjet manual, which describes how to install, maintain and overhaul the waterjet;
www.hamiltonjet.com, which provides information on HamiltonJet products and services;
your local HamiltonJet representative, who can provide support information as well as information on
training opportunities.
This guide assumes that readers have some knowledge of and experience with waterjet powered
vessels.
The characteristics and performance of waterjet powered vessels are substantially different to
vessels with other forms of propulsion. Due care should be exercised when operating the system.
Do not operate the waterjet and control systems described in this guide until you have read this
guide and familiarised yourself with its content.
