Carriage is in one of the two end positions, i.e. in the receiving position for the arrester de-
vice.
E1.a
Using the fall arrester, move up to the „upper" climbing lock (2.2)*.
E1.b. Check that the carriage (1.1) is correctly locked in the final position.
E1.c
Guide over the „upper" climbing lock (2.2)* with the fall arrester.
E1.d
Pull the lower stop bolt (1.7) in the guide rail profile (1.2) of the carriage (1.1) backwards and
guide the fall arrester past.
E1.e
Using the fall arrester, retract completely into the carriage (1.1) and release the stop bolt
(1.7), which must automatically return to the normal position.
Important!
Check that the lower stop bolt (1.7) is in its normal position and blocks the fall arrester from
moving out of the carriage!
Attention:
The stop catch of the fall arrester must rest on the spar mounting bracket (1.3) in the guide
rail profile (1.2).

Secured by means of fall arrester in the guide rail profile (1.2) of the carriage (1.1) guide to
other climbing path, e.g. on a Söll transfer platform.

Move the carriage (1.1) of the parallel switch to the final position and lock it there correctly.
E1.d
Pull the lower stop bolt (1.8) in the guide rail profile (1.2) of the carriage (1.1) backwards,
guide the fall arrester past and climb upwards over the „lower" (2.1)* climbing lock.
Important:
Also check that the upper stop bolt (1.8) returns to its normal position after release.

Carriage of the parallel switch is not in the required end position, i.e. not in take-up position
for the fall arrester.

Using the fall arrester, move up to the „upper" climbing lock (2.2)*.
E2.b
Secure with safety rope to EN 354/355.
E2.c
Guide over the „upper" climbing lock (2.2)* with the fall arrester. Take the fall arrester from
the central rail profile (2.0) and hang it on the belt.
* Please observe the deviating instructions for using and installing the new climbing locks (A11).
