*CHECKING THE VISCOUS/CABIN HEATER RELAY —
TEST

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Viscous Heater harness connector.
Remove the Viscous Heater Relay.
Connect a jumper wire across Viscous Heater Relay connector cavities 30 and 87.
Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, check the Viscous Heater Relay
Output circuit in the Viscous Heater harness connector.
Does the test light illuminate brightly?
Yes → Go To 6
→ Repair the Viscous Heater Relay Output circuit for an open.
No

If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
Repair
ACTION
Perform ROAD TEST VERIFICATION - VER-2.
Replace the Viscous Heater Relay.
Perform ROAD TEST VERIFICATION - VER-2.
