Basting

Machine settings
Pattern:

Feed dog:
When selecting the basting stitch, the LCD screen will
advise you to lower the feed dog.
Refer to page 22 for how to lower the feed dog.
Attaching the convertible free motion quilting foot
Loosen the thumbscrew and remove the foot holder.
Attach the convertible free motion quilting foot to the

presser bar and tighten the thumbscrew firmly with the
screwdriver.
Adjust the height of the foot by turning the round nut until

bottom of the foot barely touches top of the fabric.
Sewing
Lower the feed dog.
Pass the needle thread through the hole in the foot and
draw the thread to the rear.
Place the fabric and lower the presser foot.
Depress the foot control. The machine will take one stitch
and stop automatically.
Release the foot control.
Hold the fabric taut and slide it to where you want the
next stitch.
