Instructions for using the removable ball
head tow bar
WARNING Before setting off, check the
correct locking of the removable ball
head tow bar, as follows:
the green mark of the knob must
coincide with the green mark on the tow
bar
the knob is in the stop position on the
tow bar (without slot)
locked lock and key removed. The
knob cannot be extracted.
ball head bar firmly secured to the
housing pipe. Check by shaking it with
hands
The fitting procedure must be repeated if
any of the requirements are not met.
If even only one of the requirements is
not met the tow hook must not be used,
since there is risk of causing accidents.

The ball head tow bar can be
fitted/removed manually, without
requiring specific equipment.
WARNING Never use cars or work tools:
the mechanism may be damaged.
WARNING Never unlock in the case of
trailer attached to the car or with rack
fitted.
WARNING When driving without trailer
(or without rack), the ball head tow bar
must be removed and the closing cap
must always be inserted in the housing
pipe. This applies particularly if, due to
the bar, the visibility of the number plate
or of the lighting system is reduced.
For the electrical connection, a 13 pin
12V DC connection has to be used
(CUNA/UNI and ISO/DIN Standards).
Follow the instructions provided by the
car Manufacturer and/or the tow hook
Manufacturer.
WARNING
253) The ABS with which the car is
equipped will not control the braking
system of the trailer. Particular caution is
therefore required on slippery roads.
254) Never modify the braking system of
the vehicle to control the trailer brake.
The trailer braking system must be fully
independent of the vehicle's hydraulic
system.
IMPORTANT
115) For new vehicles, only tow a trailer
after having driven at least 1000 km.
