5. Disassembling
1. Remove the oil pump drive gear 1 mounting nut (1).
(1) Oil pump drive gear 1

2. Pull out the oil pump drive gear 1 (2) with a gear
puller (3).
(2) Oil pump drive gear 1
3. Remove the oil pump (4).
(4) Oil pump

Tools required
• Gear puller
1. Remove the crank gear (2) with a gear puller (1).

2. Remove the feather key.
3. Remove the idle gear shaft (3).
(1) Gear puller

1. Remove the oil pan (1).

2. Remove the oil strainer (2).
NOTE
• Using care not to damage the O-ring
