6. Assembling
3. Place the gap of each piston ring like the figure.
(A) Top ring gap
(B) Second ring gap
(C) Oil ring gap
4. Set the piston ring compressor (1) to the piston.
5. Install the piston to cylinder.
IMPORTANT
• Be
carefully
to
compressor. Otherwise, their chrome-plated
section of piston rings may be scratched,
causing trouble inside the liner.
NOTE
• Apply sufficient engine oil to the piston.
• Align the mark [FW] (2) on the piston face to
flywheel side.
• Align the marks (3) with each other.

6. Turn the flywheel and move the piston to bottom
dead center.
