10.2 Washing
10.2.1 Useful information for loading the washware
•
Remove gross leftovers.
•
Pour leftover drinks into the sink.
•
Soak cutlery until it will be washed.
•
Do not polish glasses, cutlery and dishes as even clean and fresh
towels may not be germ-free.

•
Always load hollow containers upside down. Otherwise, the
water will not be drained from the washware and brilliant
drying will not be possible.
•
Keep a space between the hollow containers so that they
do not rub against each other. This prevents scratches.
•
Select a rack with appropriate compartment dividers so that
the glasses will remain a correct position.
•
Place plates, trays, and dishes into the racks at an angle.
The inner surfaces face upwards.
•
If cutlery quivers are used, always load the cutlery pieces
with the handles down.
•
Load an assortment of spoons, knives and forks into each
cutlery quiver, as identical cutlery often is too closely
spaced.
•
Do not overload the individual cutlery quivers.
•
Do not stack dishes in the rack. Direct contact with the
wash water would be more difficult and a longer program
duration would need to be selected. It is more efficient to
load the rack with fewer items and run shorter wash cycles.
