4. Make sure both of [Obtain an IP address
automatically] and [Obtain DNS server
address automatically] are checked, then click
[OK].

IP addressing on the JUE-250
・ In normal operation, main unit uses its built-in DHCP server to allocate IP address automatically, to
the PC. If you want to manually set up IP addressing, you can use DNS, as shown below. For the
IP address range refer to [8.9.3.3 Ethrenet setting menu] (p117).
DNS
・ To test connectivity between your PC and the terminal, ping to the terminal IP address from your PC.
If a reply is received, your PC is connected to the terminal.
・ The main unit allocates an IP address to each user connected to the Ethernet or USB interface, up to a
maximum of 10 users (only 1 user can connect USB), and then maps the IP address to a network
address for full Network Address Translation (NAT). Each user can therefore open a separate data
connection from the main unit, and does not have to share network connections.

If you use BGAN.INMARSAT.COM as your
APN, the default DNS addresses are
172.30.194.8 and 172.30.194.11
(as of December 2009)
If you use another APN, your Distribution
Partner supplies you with a DNS address for
your APN.
