What should I do if ...
Please contact the Sartorius Service Center if any other problems occur.
Cause
The selected temperature is too high
and the sample oxidizes
Sample boils or scorches and the splashes
continually change the sample weight
Analysis time too long
Sample loses weight prior to start
of analysis
Sample is liquid or pasty
Sample has only a low moisture content
Insufficient heat output
Place of installation unstable (vibrations, etc.)
Remedy
– Reduce drying temperature
– Put a glass-fiber filter on top of
the sample
– Reduce the sample quantity or
distribute more evenly
– S elect a semi-automatic shutoff
parameter or select timer mode
– Increase temperature
– Reduce sample quantity
– D ry 2 to 3 minutes with empty
disposable sample pan (pre-heat)
– Remove the sample pan and apply
sample outside the sample chamber
– Use a glass fiber filter
– Increase sample quantity
– Clean temperature sensor
– Change the place of installation
