Place the upright router onto the top of the mounting bracket, as shown in
6.
23. Secure the mounting bracket to the router by attaching two 5/16-inch machine screws
through the holes in the mounting bracket tabs to corresponding holes on the bottom of the
router.

Remote Mounting the Antennas

The Tropos 6410-XA and 6420-XA have removable antennas that can be mounted remotely.
When considering remote mounting keep in mind that there will be attenuation of the radio
frequency signal caused by the impedance of the coaxial cables. ABB recommends the
following:
Use LMR-400 or other similar low-loss cables when remote mounting the antennas of the
Tropos 6410 or 6420.
Use the shortest length of cable possible to minimize RF signal loss due to cable impedance.
You can remotely mount either or both of the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz antennas. For example, you can
remote mount the 2.4 GHz antennas and leave the 5 GHz antennas mounted on the router. But it
is important to mount both antennas of each radio in the same way.
Ensure that the correct N-connectors are used for each radio. Refer to
antenna connector assignments.
