Changing the Hydraulic
Fluid
Service Interval: Every 800 hours Change the
hydraulic fluid after every 800
operating hours, in normal
conditions. If the fluid becomes
contaminated, contact your local
Toro distributor because the system
must be flushed. Contaminated fluid
looks milky or black when compared
to clean fluid.
1. Position the machine on a level surface, lower
the mower decks, shut off the engine, and
remove the key.
2. Remove the drain plug from the bottom, front of
the reservoir and let the hydraulic fluid flow into
a large drain pan.
3. Install and tighten the plug when the hydraulic
fluid stops draining.

5. Install the reservoir cap, start the engine, and
use all of the hydraulic controls to distribute
hydraulic fluid throughout the system.
6. Check for leaks; then shut off the engine.
7. Check the fluid level and add enough to raise
level the level to the Full mark on the dipstick.
