Installing your scale couplers (not included)

ou may choose to replace your locomotive's ElectroCouplers with scale couplers (available for
sale online and at hobby stores). Follow these instructions and refer to Figure 6 below to remove
your locomotive's ElectroCouplers and install the scale couplers.
1. Rotate the truck to the left allowing access to the ElectroCoupler Connector.
2. Carefully remove the ElectroCoupler connector from the socket on the underside of the
frame.
3. Remove the two screws from the pilot bracket.
4. Remove the pilot screw which mounts the pilot to the pilot bracket.
5. To remove the ElectroCoupler, remove the ElectroCoupler mounting screw from the pilot.
6. Attach the scale coupler to the mounting bracket using the two scale coupler screws,
and then attach the mounting bracket to the pilot using the two scale coupler mounting
bracket screws.
7. Assemble the pilot and bracket and secure it with the screw that was removed in step 4.
8. Position the pilot and mounting bracket on the frame and secure it with the two screws
that were removed in step 3.
9. Repeat for the other pilot, if desired.
