Installation Information
INSTALLATION INFORMATION
This section of the manual covers some of the installation issues a service technician may need to know when serv-
icing a Wolf E-Series Wall Oven. If additional information is needed after reviewing this section of the manual,
please refer to the Installation Guide or contact the Wolf Appliance Customer Service Department.

Electrical Requirements:

E-SERIES SINGLE OVEN
Required power supply:
• 208/240 V AC / 50/60 Hz / 30 amp service
• 220/240 V AC / 50/60 Hz / 30 amp service (ICB only)
Maximum connected load:
• 5.1 kW at 240 V AC; 3.8 kW at 208 V AC with minimum 30 amp service
• Total amps: 21 amps
Minimum supply wire size:
• L1, L2 and ground–10 AWG
E-SERIES DOUBLE OVEN
Required power supply:
• 208/240 V AC / 50/60 Hz / 50 amp service
• 220/240 V AC / 50/60 Hz / 50 amp service (ICB only)
Maximum connected load:
• 8.9 kW at 240 V AC; 6.7 kW at 208 V AC with minimum 50 amp service
• Total amps: 37 amps
Minimum supply wire size:
• L1, L2 and ground–10 AWG
The Wolf E Series built-in oven is provided with a terminal box for connecting installer supplied cable consisting of
two insulated hot lead conductors (copper) and an insulated ground conductor (copper). There is a label
next to the terminal box showing where which lead should be inserted. After inserting the stripped ends of the
installer supplied cable in to the appropriate location, use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten and retain each lead.
Refer to the wiring diagram.
THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE PROPERLY GROUNDED AT ALL TIMES WHEN ELECTRICAL POWER IS
APPLIED.
DO NOT GROUND THE APPLIANCE WITH THE NEUTRAL (WHITE) HOUSE SUPPLY WIRE. A SEPARATE
GROUND WIRE MUST BE UTILIZED.
IF ALUMINUM HOUSE SUPPLY WIRING IS UTILIZED, SPLICE THE APPLIANCE COPPER WIRE TO THE ALU-
MINUM HOUSE WIRING USING SPECIAL CONNECTORS DESIGNED AND CERTIFIED FOR JOINING COP-
PER AND ALUMINUM. FOLLOW THE CONNECTORS MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE
CAREFULLY. IMPROPER CONNECTION CAN RESULT IN A FIRE HAZARD.
Do not block the oven air exhaust located at the bottom of the oven. Blocking the exhaust may result in
cabinet damage and poor baking performance.
