Manual Test

IMPORTANT NOTE: Manual test mode provides a way to use the Oven Controller to force the operation of internal
devices so their functionallity can be verified physically. In Manual Test Mode the Controller does not verify
operaiton. (e.g. Fans turning or Elements heating). Verification may require the use of other test equip. (e.g. VOMs)
1. Entry into the Manual Test will be allowed by entering Diagnostics and choosing the Manual Test from the
Service Mode Entry menu (Key Press of 2). (See Figure 3-65) If a communication failure between UIM and the
Relay Module exists, Manual Test entry will be inhibited and an appropriate message displayed in the LILA.
2. User will chose a test with the designated key press or press ENTER to move to the first test in the sequence.
a. Upon entry to a test, the load will be activated and stay on until an additional press of the designated key or
an ENTER press. (Manual Door Lock (MDS) will be activated until the lock is in the requested position; the
MDS will stay in this position until an additional key press).
b. Additional presses of the designated key while in that test will turn that load on and off but remain in that test
screen until an ENTER press, CLEAR press, OVEN OFF press or UPPER/LOWER press. An ENTER press
will turn the load off and switch to the next test.
c. When the manual test is in a cavity in which the convection functions have been disabled via the configure-
tion options, the following tests will be ignored (skipped) and the associated key presses will result in an
invalid beep.
Right Convection Fan, Left Convection Fan, Right Convection Element and Left Convection Element test.
3. When user is in the upper cavity and in one of the previous tests, the UPPER/LOWER key will switch to the
equivalent test in the opposite cavity, unless the test is one of the convection outputs which have been disabled
for that cavity, or the beeper test, in which case an invalid beep will sound and the state will not change.
4. The user may exit the Manual test in the following ways:
a. "LOCK" press will return from any state to the initial Service Menu.
b. "CLEAR" press from the Initial Manual Entry state. This press will return to the initial Service Menu.
c. "OVEN OFF" press at any state (The UPPER OFF and LOWER OFF keys will both turn the entire oven off
and return the screen to TODD).

While in manual test mode, press a key to activate a fan, motor or other functions. The fan or motor relays will close
to complete a 240 VAC circuit to a specific fan or motor. If the Oven Controller detects the functionality of the Board,
an indicator will be illuminated on the display. Device operation however must be verified physically.
NOTE: Diagnostic Mode will end 2 minutes after last key stroke or when the CLEAR key is pressed.
