Dehydration Mode
Dehydration mode is a low temperature convection mode intended for use in drying foods which is operable only in
the Upper cavity on a Double Oven and Single Ovens. This mode operates using the same configuration parameters
as the rest of the non self-clean heating modes, with the following exceptions: 1. The operation of the cooling fan is
dictated by the settings stored in the configuration data for the mode. Options are low speed, high speed, or off. 2.
In the case of a double oven, the lower cavity which is not in Dehydration mode will operate it's cooling fan accord-
ing to the normal cooling fan operational parameters. 3. Heating elements and convection fan outputs are not dis-
abled when the cavity door is open. 4. The oven light will not automatically turn on when the cavity door is opened.
The user can still control the oven light using the OVEN LIGHT key.
To initiate DEHYDRATION MODE, the oven must be OFF. For lower oven operation, first press the Upper/Lower key
to select Lower. (See Figure 3-56) Now, press the DEHYD key. A preset temperature of 135°F (57.2°C) is shown in
the display. The oven begins to heat after 5 seconds or by pressing the ENTER key. To change the temperature
from 85°F, immediately enter another temperature using the number keys. Then, press the ENTER key. (See
Figure 3-57). To exit the PROOF Feature, press the Oven OFF key. For the Double Oven, press the Upper Oven
OFF key or the Lower Oven Off key. (See Figure 3-58) DEHYDRATION is between 110°F- 160°F (43.3°C - 71.1°C).
NOTE: This mode requires the use of sales accessory kit DEHY-30. For further information, refer to the Use & Care
Guide and instructions supplied with the accessory.
